Commissioned Work
Live Music Schedule-Chalkboard Mural
Chalk paint, chalk marker, chalk, acrylic paint
During my time as a server at Culinary Dropout in Tempe, my managers knew about my affinity for all things creative. They asked me to redesign the chalkboard wall. I was asked to add elements that were true to the brand of Culinary Dropout, and incorporate a designated space to fit the live music schedule for each week.
Childhood Portrait
Prismacolor colored pencil
My mom is a teacher at an elementary school. One of the parents of one of her students was aware of my artistic abilities. She had already commissioned another artist to do a portrait of her son, but was looking to have another portrait made for her daughter. The family graciously asked me if I would be willing, and I readily answered yes. This was my first ever commissioned piece, and I was lucky to present it to the subject herself.
Portrait of my Grandpa
Oil on Canvas
My grandma, Mammie, asked me to do a portrait of my grandpa, Bopps, for his birthday. She asked for it to be done in oil, which I hadn’t done in quite some time. I agreed nonetheless and got to give him his portrait in person.
